Privacy Policy

This page describes what Snap2Poster (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the photo-to-poster tool at this site, how it’s used, and how you can ask us to delete it. We’re a small, early-stage product — this policy will get more formal as the product does, but the intent (collect the minimum, tell you honestly what happens to it) won’t change.

What we collect

• The photo you upload, to generate your poster.
• Any location and date embedded in that photo’s EXIF data, if present — used only to pre-fill the city/country/date fields on the poster (you can edit or clear them before generating).
• The generated poster image(s) and the watermarked preview.
• Your IP address, used only to apply rate limits against abuse (see “How we use it”).

No account is required for your first 3 free generations each day — we don’t collect a name, email, or password for that. An account (just an email, via a passwordless sign-in link) is required once you want to keep generating past that daily limit, or to purchase and spend credits.

How we use it

• To run the AI generation and produce your poster.
• To pre-fill the poster’s text fields from EXIF, when available.
• To rate-limit uploads and generations per IP address, so free usage isn’t drained by scripts.

We do not sell your photos, and we do not use them to train our own models.

Third parties

Generating a poster means your uploaded photo is sent to our AI generation provider (fal.ai) to produce the result. Uploaded photos and generated images are stored with our storage provider (Supabase). We haven’t yet independently confirmed fal.ai’s own training-data practices for submitted images — we’ll state that plainly here once we have, rather than promise something we haven’t verified.

How long we keep it

Uploaded photos and generated images are deleted automatically 24 hours after upload — a daily cleanup job removes anything past that point, so in practice it can take up to roughly 48 hours depending on when in the day something was uploaded, not a precise 24-hour countdown. If you’d like something deleted sooner, email us (see “Contact” below) and we’ll remove it right away.

Cookies and analytics

We run our own self-hosted analytics (page views and basic product interactions) to understand how the product is used — no third-party analytics or ad-tracking cookies. It works off a random id we generate and store in your browser’s local storage, not a cookie, and isn’t shared with anyone. We don’t currently run any third-party advertising pixels; if that changes, this section will say so and explain what’s collected.

Your rights

You can ask us what we have on file and ask us to delete it at any time — email us and we’ll act on it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
